Last Updated: October 2026. Clear, honest information about what stays in your browser and what minimal data dynamic QR codes require.

1. What We Save and Why

We keep our data practices simple and transparent. Depending on which tool you use on QRFixer, data is handled in two distinct ways:

A. Static Tools (100% in Your Browser)

When you create static QR codes, generate retail barcodes, scan labels using your webcam, or batch process spreadsheets in the bulk generator, everything runs entirely inside your own browser. Whatever text, Wi-Fi password, contact information, or spreadsheet you enter stays on your device. We do not store, view, or send any of that data to our servers.

B. Dynamic QR Codes (Minimal Redirection Data)

Dynamic QR codes require a destination web link so visitors can be redirected when they scan the code. To make this work, our edge server stores only:

  • Destination URL: The website link visitors are forwarded to.
  • Short Identifier & Edit Key: A 6-character routing code and an encrypted secret key so only you can update or delete your link.
  • Scan Counter: Total scan count, timestamp of the latest scan, and approximate city or country. We never collect names, personal profiles, or individual tracking information.

How to Delete Your Data: You can permanently erase your dynamic link and all scan counts at any time. Simply enter your Short Code and Secret Edit Key on our Manage Dynamic QR page and click "Delete Code".

2. Advertising & Cookies

We show ads from Google AdSense. Google uses cookies to do this, and you can opt out in Google Ads Settings. Third-party vendors and ad networks use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this website or other sites across the internet.

You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time by visiting Google Ads Settings or through industry opt-out portals like aboutads.info.

3. Local Storage

We use standard browser local storage solely to remember your theme preference (such as dark mode or light mode). We do not use local storage to build advertising profiles or track your activity across other websites.

4. Community Feedback

When you submit an idea or bug report through our feedback desk, your message is delivered directly through an automated relay. We never sell your name, email or message, and never use them for marketing.

5. Questions & Inquiries

If you have questions about our privacy practices, please send us a note via our Contact & Feedback desk.
